About Varsity

Since 1897, Cambridge has faced Oxford in the annual Varsity Match for the Truelove Bowl, with competitors eligible for a Full Blue.

This year (2025) marks the first Varsity where women's bouts will count toward the final scores.

CUABC Shows & Competitions

Each season, around 250 men and women compete for one of the coveted 12 places on the Varsity Team. The annual Varsity Match against Oxford is the longest-running inter-club amateur boxing fixture in the world. Visceral and exhilarating, CUABC is an experience like no other. We cater for beginners and experienced boxers with our dedicated coaching team supporting members throughout the season.
